NYU Law trustee Janet Booth Zide ’87 has made a generous donation to the Law School, establishing the Janet Booth Zide and Stephen Zide Scholarship for JD students.
“NYU Law continues to provide the type of education that equips lawyers to begin and stay at the top of their fields,” Zide says. “It is my hope that this scholarship will help students to accomplish the innovative goals set and fostered at the Law School.”
Zide began her corporate law career at Cahill Gordon & Reindel, then moved to Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, where she specialized in mergers and acquisitions, primarily in the telecommunications sector. Today, Zide serves on the President’s Council at Smith College and the board of directors for Kids In Crisis, a nonprofit that provides crisis counseling, intervention, emergency shelter, and community education programs for children and teens from southwestern Connecticut. Zide is also a member of the board of directors for the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of Greenwich, Connecticut and SeriousFun Children’s Network, a global community of camps and programs that offers free recreational experiences to children with serious illnesses and their family members. She is also a member of the NYU Law Board of Trustees.
