Eric George, founder and CEO of Omega Hospital, the Hand Center of Louisiana, and ERG Enterprises, has generously established the Eric and Kimberly George Scholarship within the AnBryce Program.
Every three years, this gift will fund a student entering the program as an Eric and Kimberly George Scholar.
“It is a great pleasure to be able to support NYU Law’s AnBryce Scholars, who are committed to making a positive impact on the world,” says George. A practicing hand surgeon, entrepreneur, and venture capitalist, George is also the recent author of We: Ditch the Me Mindset and Change the World, a book that encourages readers to embrace “a mindset of connectedness”—recognizing that the primary source of a fulfilling life is encountering and serving others. “I am glad to be able to help these remarkable students benefit from the valuable educational experience that the Law School provides,” he says.
In addition to founding investment firm ERG Enterprises in 2006, George owns and operates businesses in the health care, hospitality, real estate, oil and gas, education, entertainment, and consumer goods sectors.
George’s gift to the Law School is the latest in a long philanthropic career. He established the Colonel Aaron C-Dot George Scholarship at Marshall University, and he supports causes that include the St. Martin’s Episcopal School George Cottage in New Orleans and a school for orphans in Mombasa, Kenya.
