A gift from NYU Law Board of Trustees member James “Jim” Kaye ’89 has established the Kaye Family Scholarship at NYU Law.
The scholarship will provide annual support for a student, called a Kaye Family Scholar, who demonstrates financial need.
“It is my great privilege to help support the next generation of global leaders and innovators in the legal field and beyond,“ says Kaye. “I look forward to seeing how Kaye Family Scholars will utilize the Law School’s rich resources and opportunities to shape what are sure to be interesting and inspiring careers.”
Kaye serves as vice president, general counsel, and secretary of Moore Capital Management (MCM), a global investment management group based in New York City, where he is also a member of the board of directors. Before joining MCM in 2007, Kaye was a partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, where he specialized in transactional and investment matters for private equity and hedge funds.
At the Law School, Kaye graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif and served as senior articles editor for the Annual Survey of American Law.
