Legal Scholarship

The Center is working to advance the fields of social entrepreneurship and impact investing through legal scholarship. To this end, the Center is engaging in the following activities:

  • The Grunin Center for Law and Social Entrepreneurship and the Journal of Law & Business at NYU School of Law will be hosting a symposium on legal issues arising in social entrepreneurship, impact investing and sustainable development at NYU School of Law on October 18, 2024. The objective of this symposium is to convene legal scholars in a collegial and supportive environment to share and comment on field advancing works in progress.
  • The Grunin Center is currently undertaking a literature review of the legal scholarship from 2018-2023, which we expect to publish in 2025.
  • A literature review of the legal scholarship that has taken place from 2007-2017 in the fields of social entrepreneurship and impact investing. Please click here to read the published review, Legal Literature Review of Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investing (2007-2017): Doing Good by Doing Business.
