Zvia started her career as a corporate lawyer with Fried Frank, then shifted to Education Law and joined the NYC Department of Education and Edison Schools. After practicing law for 15 years, she took on a variety of management roles with several growth-stage organizations in the Education sector.
Her most recent role was President of Enactus United States, a global organization that supports social entrepreneurship on college campuses. Previously, she served as CEO for A-List Education, an education services company that serves schools and families. During her tenure, the company migrated its services to a virtual environment due to Covid; acquired and integrated an adaptive learning company; and expanded its college advising services. Other career highlights include serving on the legal team of the first charter school to open in New York State – the Sisulu-Walker Charter School; operating entrepreneurship programs and competitions for high school students; and teaching Entrepreneurship at The Borough of Manhattan Community College.
Her volunteer work has revolved around building community in the startup space. She served as the co-chair of EdTech Women NYC, was a founding organizer for the NYC chapter of 1 Million Cups (a monthly breakfast for entrepreneurs sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation), and helped launch Ed3 DAO, a global community reimagining education with web3.
She received her JD from the NYU School of Law, where she served as the co-Editor-in-Chief of the Environmental Law Journal. She earned her BA from Washington University in St. Louis and double majored in Spanish and Near Eastern Studies.
She currently lives in Princeton, NJ, with her husband, two daughters, and a feisty Havapoo named Felix.
