Director's Welcome

Annemarie Zell

On behalf of the NYU Law Library, it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to new and returning students, faculty and staff. Our goal, this year and every year, is to support NYU Law School’s outstanding legal scholarship and training of the next generation of leading lawyers. We do this by acquiring and providing access to a world-class collection of information resources, offering expert guidance in the retrieval of information, and maintaining a comfortable and modern facility that is optimized for study and collaboration.

In total, we aim for the library to be a critical support for your learning and scholarship goals and to be a vital part of your experience at NYU Law School. I invite you to visit the library in person and to find within the stacks your own favorite place to study. Explore the library’s incredibly vast array of databases, e-resources and print materials in ever-expanding areas of study. I encourage you to seek out research assistance from our talented and knowledgeable librarians, who are available in person or electronically, and to use our other services, such as interlibrary loan and our article/book chapter scanning service.

As we start this new academic year, please accept our best wishes for a productive and fulfilling year and we look forward to seeing you online or in person in the library.
