Judicial Clerkships
The Furman program has an excellent track record of placing alumni in judicial clerkships. To date, Furmans have clerked on the Supreme Court, federal appellate courts, and district courts. Virtually all Furmans who seek one or more clerkships get them.
Of the Furmans who have clerked:
- 46 percent have done one clerkship
- 43 percent have done two clerkships
- 11 percent have done three clerkships
Of the Furmans who have done at least one judicial clerkship:
- 96 percent have clerked at a federal appellate court
- 48 percent have clerked at a district court
- 15 percent have clerked on the Supreme Court
