Adaptive Technology Rooms

Bobst Library offers adaptive technology rooms. To reserve and use these rooms you must be registered with the Moses Center for Student Accessibility and receive access to the adaptive computing rooms as part of your accommodation package. To learn more about these rooms (location, specialized hardware and software and more), please consult the Moses Center for Student Accessibility website and the Division of Libraries Accessibility Services webpage.

Assistive Technology

The Moses Center provides assistive technology tools that can be downloaded from NYU Home by students, including:

  • Read&Write: an application for your computer, browser, and tablet that helps make reading, writing, and comprehending text easier)
  • SensusAccess: a self-service solution that automates the conversion of documents into a range of alternative formats.

Assistance Retrieving Law Library Books & Materials

Physical Accessibility

The Vanderbilt Hall building, where the Law Library is located, is wheelchair accessible by ramps. All levels of the Law Library are wheelchair accessible either by a ramp or by an elevator.

The Law Library has two wheelchair accessible (ADA Complaint) restrooms, one on the B1 Level and another in the Brown Atrium.

Individuals utilizing the NYU Law Library who have questions regarding building accessibility or wish to receive a guided tour of the Library to assist with navigation are encouraged to reach out to Marina Highland, the Library Manager, at marina.highland@nyu.edu or by telephone at (212) 998-6321.

Digital Accessibility

Law students and faculty who need accessible PDFs of library resources should reach out to Division of Libraries Accessibility Services in Bobst Library at lib-accommodations@nyu.edu or utilize SensusAccess.
