While at NYU Law, students can stay either in one of the dedicated law school residence halls—each within a few blocks of the classroom buildings and the Law Library—or off-campus, taking advantage of New York City’s diverse neighborhoods and boroughs.
If you choose to live on-campus, you’ll enjoy the convenience of living in modern high-rise apartment buildings with 24-hour doormen. Here, you’ll immerse yourself in vibrant, historic Greenwich Village as you explore Washington Square Park, cafés that inspired literary greats, comedy clubs, theaters, and restaurants.
We offer a variety of living arrangements. Most student residents live in private bedrooms that are shared between two- or three-bedroom apartments in our two high-rise apartment-style residence halls. Family and partner housing accommodations (in the form of studios and one-bedroom apartments) are also available. Explore our residence halls to learn about our facilities, including apartment layouts and furnishings.
If you prefer to live off-campus, you’ll benefit from University resources for finding housing that meets your needs. The Law School is located near several subway and bus lines, including the busy West Fourth Street-Washington Square Station, making it convenient to students commuting from around the city.
