Admission and Registration
The certificate program is open to admitted JD and LLM students at the NYU School of Law. These students need only submit the enrollment forms to register.
Practicing lawyers may participate in the summer portion of the certificate only. Additional documentation and an admission review is required for practicing lawyers as not every applicant meets the admission standards. Please contact Anat Carmy-Wiechman for additional direction at anat.carmywiechman@law.nyu.edu.
We reserve the right to close admission to the program should we reach a capacity constraint. Thus, we encourage interested students to indicate their interest in the program as soon as possible. Upon enrollment, we require a deposit of US $250. Registration forms and deposits must be received to hold your place in the class. The deposit will count towards your tuition.
Tuition and Fees
Program tuition covers the nine credits taken during the summer semester. Tuition and registration fees for these credits will be charged at the regular rate for graduate business school credits.
Additional fees such as health insurance and NYU Office of Global Services fees may apply. The Tuition and Fees Worksheet helps break down these costs, as well as gives information on how to wave or reduce health insurance fees.
Financial Aid
Students interested in financial aid have the options of federal student loans through the Department of Education or private student loans through a private lender.
For more information, please contact the Stern School of Business Graduate Financial Aid Office at fin-aid@stern.nyu.edu or by calling (212) 998-0790. To read more about the types of financial aid available to both domestic and international students, please visit the Stern Financial Aid website.
John Vogelstein Scholarship
Admitted and enrolled full-time NYU LLM students are eligible to apply for a partial scholarship for the summer portion the ACLB program made possible by a very generous gift from Stern School of Business alumnus, John Vogelstein.
Scholarship applications are accepted for admitted LLM students through March 18, 2024. The scholarship award is contingent upon a formal acceptance of the LLM offer. For more information, please email anat.carmywiechman@law.nyu.edu.
Housing
Housing for the summer session will be available in the Law School residence halls at standard rates. ACLB students are encouraged to apply for housing as soon as possible. Housing assignments are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Students interested in NYU Law housing for the summer (link to: https://www.law.nyu.edu/housing/summerliving/about) can apply via the NYU Law housing portal (link to: https://reslife.law.nyu.edu). For more information, please email lawhousingadmin@mercury.law.nyu.edu. If a room is not available in NYU Law housing, we will explore housing options with NYU undergrad housing.
