Blu Greenberg, Founder and First President of the Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance (JOFA) presented the 12th Annual Caroline and Joseph S. Gruss Lecture entitled, "Where There is a Rabbinic Will, There is a Halakhic Way: A Defense and Critique." This statement, borne of an analysis of rabbinic ameliorations for the Jewish wife in a divorce situation, evoked more backlash than its author anticipated.
