This year marks the 65th anniversary of the Root-Tilden-Kern (formerly Root-Tilden) Scholarship Program, which provides tuition, mentoring, and other support to JD students with a demonstrated commitment to public interest work.
On May 10, Root-Tilden-Kern scholars and graduates gathered to hear from program alumni about their experiences and the lessons they learned while in key government and nonprofit roles. Following the panel discussions, the event concluded with a reception and a celebratory toast by Jerome H. Kern ’60, one of the three NYU Law alumni for whom the program is named.
