On March 30, the NYU Law Revue, the annual student-produced parody of the law school experience, returned with its first live performance in three years, a musical titled 10 Torts I Hate About You.
Directed by Nathaniel Brodsky ’23 and Freddy Levenson ’23, and written by the co-directors and a team of law students, the show spoofed the cult 1999 rom-com 10 Things I Hate About You, an update of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. In the NYU Law version, lovers Cameron and Bianca cannot be united until they find a study partner for her “gunner” sister, Kat. Ben Donvan ’24, Rozzie Kopczynski ’23, Gus Meny ’23, Michael Modak-Truran ’23, and Abby Schmidt ’24 had leading roles in the production, which included original songs such as “My Chemical Precedent” and “Revueing Free.”
