This year NYU Law’s Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement (PCCE) turned 10, and celebrated with an April conference that looked back at the past decade in corporate compliance and enforcement policy to see what lessons could be gleaned for the future of the field.
During a keynote address, Nicole Argentieri, principal deputy assistant attorney general in the US Department of Justice’s Criminal Division, announced a new DOJ initiative, the Pilot Program on Voluntary Self-Disclosures for Individuals. The new program seeks to clarify the conditions under which people who voluntarily report corporate misconduct to law enforcement can qualify for a nonprosecution agreement.
