For many NYU Law professors, summer is the season to take their research and scholarship on the road, often to far-flung corners of the globe. As summer 2014 drew to a close, we asked faculty members to tell us about what they did and where. Three dozen responded, and we’ve plotted their travels from one horizon to the other. Click here to view the full map.
Zoom out to get a sense of how much of the globe our faculty has covered; zoom in for an up-close look at certain cities or regions. In addition to clicking on the purple map pins, you can also read about each faculty member’s appearances by clicking on his or her name in the left-hand panel. For example, you can follow José Alvarez, Herbert and Rose Rubin Professor of International Law, from his debate with Anne-Marie Slaughter in Estonia to his keynote address at University of Santa Caterina, in Brazil. Or you can see that Professor Florencia Marotta-Würgler presented her paper “An Empirical Study of Privacy Policies and the Effectiveness of ‘Notice and Choice’ Disclosure Regulation” on both sides of the Atlantic—in Washington, DC, and Amsterdam.
Happy travels.
