On November 1, NYU Law’s Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Program (EVC) selected Nikita Bogdanov ’26 as the winner of its semiannual business pitch competition. Bogdanov’s winning idea was for a business called FineprintAI, which would harness emerging AI technology to enhance legal researching tools.
This Fall, the competition, which occurs each semester and is open to current students and recent graduates, asked entrants to submit a short video pitching an idea aimed at tackling a problem with an innovative solution. The winner was selected by a jury of NYU Law alumni who are leaders in the entrepreneurial space: Jono Rosen ’97, managing partner at Moss Valley Capital; Monica Ramirez de Arellano ’15, head of strategy of digital assets at BNY Mellon; and Nick Goss ’13, chief operating officer at Parallel Markets.
Other submissions included a pitch for a non-alcoholic beverage catered toward the health conscious, an app for mind-body chronic pain management, and an AI tool to help manage and review legal contracts.
The EVC, formerly the NYU Law Venture Fund, was launched in 2018 through the support of NYU Law alumni. The program seeks to encourage law students and alumni to pursue entrepreneurial interests through mentorship, internships, networking opportunities, early-stage investments, and grants.
