On April 11, a team from NYU Law bested Columbia players 61-54 before an enthusiastic crowd in the annual Deans’ Cup basketball game. After prevailing in last year’s contest, Columbia was battling to keep the trophy uptown, but the Violets took an early lead, and when the final buzzer sounded, the cup was theirs. First played in 2002, the match raises funds to benefit the public interest law programs at both law schools.
