The New York County District Attorneys Office recently hired Philip Kovoor ‘12, Karl Mulloney-Radke ’12 and Samantha Schott ’12 as assistant district attorneys.
Philip Kovoor was a Root-Tilden-Kern Scholar at NYU Law, a notes editor for the New York University Law Review, and a student fellow at the Center on the Administration of Criminal Law. During law school, he participated in the Equal Justice and Capital Defender Clinic and the Global Justice Clinic. Kovoor earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago in 2007.
Karl Mulloney-Radke attended NYU Law as a Dean’s Scholar and was a student fellow at the Center on the Administration of Criminal Law. He was also an articles editor on the Journal of Legislation and Public Policy and worked with Professor Holly Maguigan in the Comparative Criminal Justice Clinic. Prior to attending law school, Mulloney-Radke worked for a member of Congress as a legislative correspondent. He graduated with an A.B. in History from the University of Chicago.
Samantha Schott worked as a legal research assistant at the Center on Law and Security at NYU and participated in NYU's Prosecution Clinic with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York, where she worked under supervising AUSAs in the General Crimes and Narcotics sections. She served as advocacy co-chair of Law Students for Human Rights and as a teaching assistant for the Lawyering Program and for University President John Sexton's "Baseball as a Road to God" undergraduate seminar. Schott was also a developments editor on the Journal of International Law and Politics. She spent her 2L summer interning in the Counterterrorism Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, National Security Division. Schott received her B.A. in the Political Economy of Industrial Societies from the University of California, Berkeley.
