Sonia Lin '08 has received the inaugural Outten & Golden NYU School of Law Fellowship. The fellowship, created by Outten & Golden partner Wayne Outten '74, in collaboration with the Public Interest Law Center, gives recent NYU Law graduates hands-on experience in employment and labor matters. Lin will begin working with the Manhattan firm in September.
Since her graduation from NYU School of Law, Lin, a Root-Tilden-Kern scholar, has been a clerk for Judge Denny Chin of the Southern District of New York. Prior to attending law school, Lin worked in the Immigration Law Unit of the Legal Aid Society in New York and spent a year studying in China. She graduated with distinction in both history and international studies from Yale University in 2001, and was awarded the Williams Prize for her senior thesis.
The next Outten & Golden Fellowship will be offered in Fall 2010.
