Clayton Gillette publishes new book

Professor Clayton GilletteMax E. Greenberg Professor of Contract Law Clayton Gillette focuses his scholarship principally in two areas: commercial law and local government. The latter is the subject of his latest book, Local Redistribution and Local Democracy: Interest Groups and the Courts.

In a conversation with Michael Orey, NYU Law's head of public affairs, Gillette talks about "benign" and "malign" wealth redistribution, work he has done as an advisor on the subject (supporting a "living wage" ordinance in one city, opposing it in another), and the role courts might play.
