NYU Law faculty are extensively involved in the American Law Institute (ALI), the leading independent organization in the United States producing scholarly work to clarify, modernize, and improve the law. More than 30 NYU Law professors have been elected as members, and many serve, or have recently served, as reporters on high-profile ALI projects.
