Women's Participation in Justice Systems in Latin America

This event brings together renowned scholars and practitioners from 10 Latin American countries who have been conducting a two-year research project, culminating in an extensive Report, that seeks to understand the dynamics women are confronted with when working in the justice system in Latin America. 

The event will consist of a brief presentation of the Report followed by a dialogue with the scholars and practitioners moderated by NYU Law Professor Meg Satterthwaite, the UN Special Rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyers, and a Q&A session.
