A DISCUSSION ON DESIRABILITY, FEASIBILITY, AND JUSTIFICATIONS OF UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME.

Hosted by the Classical Liberal Institute and Moderated by Professor Richard Epstein.

Speakers:

  • Otto Lehto: Finnish philosopher and political economist whose current work focuses on PPE, complexity theory, evolutionary theory, political philosophy, ethics, basic income, social epistemology, human enhancement, and naturalism.
  • Daniel Hemel: Daniel Hemel joined the New York University School of Law in June 2022 as a Professor of Law. His wide-ranging research explores topics in taxation, intellectual property, administrative and constitutional law, and nonprofit organizations
  • Deirdre McCloskey: Distinguished Professor Emerita of Economics and of History, and Professor Emerita of English and of Communication, adjunct in classics and philosophy, at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
  • Alex Gourevitch: An associate professor of political science in the Department of Political Science. Research interests include the history of political and economic thought; theories of freedom; work and leisure; Marxism; rights theory; republicanism; and democratic theory.
