Trial Advocacy Society General Interest Meeting 2
This event is not open to the public.
Trial Advocacy Society (TAS) is recruiting new members!
Each year, TAS sends teams of two to four students to numerous regional and national mock- trial competitions across the country. At each competition, the teams argue entire trials before a judge and jury, all based on a given fact-pattern against teams from other law schools from across the country.
As a member of NYU Law's Mock Trial Team, you will be introduced to the practice of trial law and the Federal Rules of Evidence, and you will also get the chance to hone your public speaking skills through writing and performing direct and cross examinations of witnesses and opening/closing statements.
Absolutely no prior mock trial, trial advocacy, or debate experience is required to join!
If you are interested in learning more about our tryout process, please check us out during the Student Activities Fair.
We will be holding information sessions on 9/10 at 1:30pm in person and 9/11 at 1:30pm virtually.
