Currently, as Director of Government Affairs & Public Policy for Google Cloud, Albert leads a team of attorneys and subject matter experts who advise Google executives on regulatory issues impacting global infrastructure, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, the regulation of data, and human rights. Albert works directly with public and private stakeholders in developing countries who are leveraging cloud computing technology to drive innovation, improve local economies, and enhance digital literacy.
Prior to joining Google, Albert was Associate Counsel to President Barack Obama in the Office of White House Counsel, where he provided legal and strategic counsel on cybersecurity, privacy, congressional investigations, and high stakes litigation.
