In this workshop, you'll explore how startups can strategically engage with regulators to drive growth and innovation. We'll examine case studies of successful founder-regulator interactions and discuss when it's most effective for founders to participate directly in policy discussions. You'll learn practical strategies for navigating complex regulatory landscapes and turning potential obstacles into opportunities for your business. We'll cover key principles for building productive relationships with policymakers and articulating your company's value proposition in regulatory contexts. By the end of this session, you'll have a framework for determining when and how to engage with regulators, and for how to think about policy as a growth level.
This workshop will be led by Sima Gandhi '07, LLM '10. Sima is currently the President and founder of Alton Strategies and a Senior advisor at FS Vector. Most recently, she was co-founder and CEO of Creative Juice, a Forbes top 50 fintech company and Fast Company Most Innovative Company. Creative Juice was acquired in 2023.
