PILC: Federal Defender Career Panel

Please join PILC and BALSA for a career panel and discussion with The Federal Defenders of New York. The panel will feature current Federal Defenders who will discuss their respective journeys as public defenders. The Federal Defenders is a public defender office committed to challenging and dismantling the systems of oppression that directly impact communities of color and marginalized populations. The office strives to create an inclusive, welcoming, and diverse working environment for everyone, and is deeply invested in recruiting BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and non-binary staff to join their ranks. The panel will speak to FDNY’s efforts to mentor and support interns and staff from marginalized communities.
