Feb. 24: Pro Bono Scholars Program Externship Information Session
Come learn about NYU Law School’s expanded externship program in conjunction with the New York State Pro Bono Scholars Program (PBSP). The PBSP is a unique program through which graduating law students have the option to spend their final semester working full-time with legal services organizations. As part of the program, students are permitted to take the February New York State bar exam, which will allow them to be admitted to practice in New York immediately after graduation. Through NYU’s PBSP Externship, students will be placed with various civil legal services providers in New York City for their final semester of law school to gain practical skills and experience. Students will also participate in a weekly seminar to complement their fieldwork that will provide an intensive analysis of the legal, strategic, ethical, and cultural issues that typically arise in public interest lawyering.
Note: Furman Hall, Room 212 has been reserved as a quiet space to view this session. Student's should bring their own device to watch the session. Students who utilize the room are required to abide by NYU’s COVID-19 guidelines.
