The U.S.-Asia Law Institute will host Sichuan University Law Professor Zuo Weimin this Friday speaking about online litigation in China. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Chinese courts began holding some proceedings online for the first time, mostly in the areas of civil and administrative litigation but also including some hearings in criminal court. Professor Zuo will explain how the transition to online proceedings took place, what is happening now post-Covid, and what the future is likely to hold.
