NYU NALSA Law on Our Own Terms Event

The NYU Native American Law Students Association (NALSA) is excited to host our second annual event, Law On Our Terms, on Thursday, March 29th, from 11:00am to 1:00pm ET. The event, which will include lunch, will be held at the Lester Pollack Colloquium in Furman Hall at NYU School of Law (245 Sullivan St., New York, NY 10012). 

The goal of this event is to engage with important Indigenous legal issues while centering the perspectives of Indigenous leaders and scholars. 

Our speaker is Makalika Destarte Naholowa?a, the current executive director of the Native Hawaiin Legal Corporation.  Makalika Naholowa?a is a lawyer and indigenous peoples advocate. As the Executive Director at the Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation, Makalika works to fulfill NHLC’s mission to protect and advance Native Hawaiian identity and culture.
