The NYU Furman Center is pleased to invite you to register for By the Numbers: The Use of Housing Choice Vouchers in NYC, our hybrid launch event highlighting the release of the State of New York City’s Housing and Neighborhoods report. This year’s focus will be on how federally funded housing choice vouchers are used in New York City.

We will explore the role of Housing Choice Vouchers in supporting low-income households in New York City, including what neighborhoods voucher holders live in and whether the availability of vouchers helps to open up housing choices, including in neighborhoods of greater opportunity. We will also consider how project-level subsidies work in tandem with vouchers to expand access to affordable housing for households who use vouchers. Finally, we will consider the extent to which vouchers contribute to stability by measuring eviction filing rates among voucher households.

Please note that this year's event will be held on the morning of May 21.
