NLG Students: Week Against Mass Incarceration
will be held from March 6-March 10, 2023. The theme is "Building Alternatives to Prisons, Jails, and Policing." NLG will show Time, a documentary by Garrett Bradley, and for which she became the first Black woman to win Best Director for a U.S. Documentary at the Sundance film festival. "In this epic yet intimate love story filmed over two decades, indomitable matriarch Fox Rich strives to raise her six sons and keep her family together as she fights for her husband's release from the Louisiana State Penitentiary, commonly known as Angola."
