The LLM OUTLaw Society, in conjunction with the Center for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging of NYU Law, has put together a panel discussion entitled “LGBTQIA+ panel discussion: a global perspective”.
The conversation will shine a spotlight on the experiences of LGBTQIA+ people in different parts of the world. LL.M. students from South America, Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East will talk about what it's like to live as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community in their part of the world, LGBTQIA+ advocacy and how they approached telling people about their sexual identity. David Glasgow the Executive Director of the Center for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging will also join the conversation and discuss what multinational organizations can practically do to create greater inclusion, especially in countries that are unfriendly to LGBTQIA+ people.
