Join NLG to get trained to serve as a Legal Observer with the NLG-NYC Chapter!
The NLG-NYC Legal Observer program is part of a comprehensive system of legal support by our Mass Defense Committee designed to enable people to express their political views as fully as possible without unconstitutional disruption or interference by the police and with the fewest possible consequences from the criminal legal system. Legal Observers with NLG-NYC are deployed at demonstrations, where trained volunteers wearing green hats marked “LEGAL OBSERVER” observe and document the activities of law enforcement.
Training will be conducted by leadership at the NLG-NYC Chapter in collaboration with NYU's Chapter. Please join us to get involved with this great project and community!
