The Center on the Administration of Criminal Law and the Center on Race, Inequality and the Law are pleased to invite you to the third Kenneth P. Thompson ’92 Lecture on Race and Criminal Justice Reform. The discussion will take place virtually on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Vincent Southerland executive director of the Center on Race, Inequality and the Law, and Courtney Machi Oliva executive director of the Center on the Administration of Criminal Law will moderate a conversation with Mr. Curtis Flowers about his nightmarish ordeal through Mississippi's criminal legal system spanning six trials and more than two decades in prison, his battle for freedom, and the lessons that flow from his experiences for advocates seeking to advance justice.

This event is presented in partnership with our Law Alumni Association and Law Alumni of Color Association.

This event has been approved for 1 credit of CLE in the Area of Professional Practice category.  The event will be appropriate for both experienced and newly admitted attorneys.
