Charlie Corwin, Co-CEO of SK Global

Charlie Corwin is an entrepreneur, creator, producer, and media executive.  He is currently the Co-CEO of SK Global, an independent studio specializing in cross-cultural stories, including the film Crazy Rich Asians. He was previously CEO at Imagine Entertainment, where he joined shortly after an investment from the Raine Group.  Before that, Corwin was Co-Chairman and CEO at Endemol Shine Americas, overseeing the merger and integration of those two companies in North and South America.

Corwin started his career by Co-founding internet startup Live Music Channel, a pioneer in video streaming, and later, he Co-founded movie and television production company Original Media.  As CEO of Original Media, Corwin produced numerous acclaimed feature films and created some of the US’s most successful TV series.

He is widely considered an innovator for his creation of subculture specific docu-series such as “Miami Ink” and its popular spinoffs, as well as the breakout successes “Swamp People” and “Storm Chasers.”

Corwin’s films have been nominated for multiple Spirit Awards, Golden Globes, and Academy Awards. Among them, “The Squid and the Whale,” “Half Nelson,” and “A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints.”

Corwin has a BA from the University of Wisconsin and a JD from New York University School of Law in 1999. He was born and raised in New York City and currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
