A joint webinar of Columbia Law School and the

Institute of Judicial Administration at NYU School of Law

A tribute to Judge Jack B. Weinstein’s pioneering contributions not only to substantive law and procedure, but also to judicial process and views of the judicial role. Columbia and NYU Law faculty join with former Weinstein clerks, students, and bench colleagues to explore Weinstein’s legacy in Judicial Administration, Mass Torts and Complex Litigation, Criminal Law-Evidence-Sentencing, and Civil Practice and Procedure.  Speakers will reference his academic writings, treatises, and legal opinions, including appellate review of such opinions, while also sharing personal anecdotes and lessons learned from the judge. Finally, we will share Judge Weinstein’s views, in his own words, as captured in his oral history interview conducted by NYU Law’s Institute of Judicial Administration (2016). This event is applying for 1 NY CLE in professional practice.
