The NYU Law and Political Economy Association presents an Introduction to Racial Capitalism and Critical Race Theory, co-sponsored by CoLR. We will: examine the co-constitutive nature of racism and capitalism; develop a working definition of intersectionality; apply critical race theory to 1L cases; and discuss how the law conditions race and wealth, requiring lawyers to push back.
