This event is not open to the public.

Please join the International Law Society for a discussion on strategic litigation and human rights lawyering with Terry Collingsworth, the Founder and Executive Director of IRAdvocates. Mr. Collingsworth has specialized in international human rights litigation for the past 25 years of his 35-year-long legal practice. He is most famous for suing Nestlé and other chocolate manufacturers for child labor in cocoa plantations, but he also litigated against other multinational companies such as Exxon and Apple. Mr. Collingsworth uses his extensive international network to bring lawyers, educators, and human rights activists together to collaborate on strategic litigation, public policy, consumer campaigns, and targeted actions.

We will also be screening The Chocolate War, a documentary about deeply exploitative practices and child enslavement in the chocolate industry which follows Mr. Collingsworth's human rights work in this realm. The event will be held on Monday April 17 at 5:30 PM in VH 214, and dinner will be provided!
