If/When/How, BALSA, WoCC and Law Women are hosting a book club in honor of Black Maternal Health Week! Black Maternal Health Week is held annually on April 11-17th. It is a week-long campaign founded and led by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance to build awareness, activism, and community-building to amplify the voices, perspectives and lived experiences of Black Mamas and birthing people. We will be reading excerpts from Killing the Black Body by Dorothy Roberts and having a discussion and dinner on April 17th, 5pm to 7pm

We ask that all those who received a book also commit to coming to the discussion. If you do not receive a copy, we still encourage you to join!

We are also asking people to make donations to the Black Mamas Matter Alliance in support of their important mission working across the full spectrum of reproductive justice: https://www.mightycause.com/donate/Black-Mamas-Matter-Alliance.
