The sustainability of our planet and the well-being of current and future generations are facing severe threats from environmental crises. Effectively combating these challenges requires a fundamental shift in commitment, financing, and action. Hosted by NYU Law School, this event aims to explore how climate finance can be unlocked and utilized effectively, particularly for developing countries, which are often the most vulnerable to climate change impacts.

This event will delve into the intricacies of climate finance, its urgent necessity, the role of major financial institutions, and practical case studies, with a specific focus on developing countries. The objective is to foster a deeper understanding among stakeholders about the financial strategies and actions needed to effectively combat climate change.

The event is organized by the Brazilian Legal Society (BLS) in association with the Environmental Law Society (ELS) and will be moderated by Maria Eduarda Assis (LLM Candidate at NYU School of Law).
