You are invited to attend the upcoming talk by Sharon Murphy (Professor of History, Providence College) on her new book, Bankingon Slavery: Financing Southern Expansion in the Antebellum United States.  

 

Professor Murphy's book is the winner of the Ralph Gomory Prize of the Business History Conference, the Williams Prize in Louisiana History, and is a finalist for the Hagley Prize for the best book in business history.
