I’m thrilled to invite you to a panel on affordable housing and the city’s most recent policy initiative to address NYC’s housing affordability crisis, Mandatory Inclusionary Housing (MIH).

The panel will feature former Deputy Mayor for Housing and Urban Development, Professor Vicki Been, and former Director of City Planning and current partner at Fried Frank, Anita Laremont.

Vicki and Anita will discuss the current housing crisis through the lens of Mandatory Inclusionary Housing, and offer a reflection on the policy. They will also discuss how the policy was implemented, and focus on some of the city’s most recent rezoning initiatives including the rezoning of SoHo, NoHo, and the Penn Station Redevelopment proposal that came towards the end of the de Blasio administration.

If you’re curious about zoning as a tool to address NYC’s housing crisis, then this is a wonderful opportunity to learn more! The panel will take place on Tuesday, November 7th at 6:00 p.m. in Vanderbilt Hall 214. Dinner will be served and there will be an opportunity for an audience Q&A if time allows.

RSVP here.
