This event has passed.

The European Legal Society (EULS) invites you to our panel discussion, featuring Professor Agnieszka Frackowiak-Adamska (Wroclaw University), Professor Andreas Voßkuhle (former president of the German Constitutional Court, University of Freiburg) and Professor Joseph Weiler (European Union Jean Monnet Chaired Professor at NYU).

Building on their paramount knowledge about the judiciary within Europe, these experts will speak about the current judicial landscape in different European jurisdictions. The speakers will touch on topical discussions, concerning i.a. the challenges currently faced by the Polish judiciary, debates surrouding democratic backsliding and the rule of law in multiple countries across the EU and the question what role the EU should play in this.

With this event we would love to invite you to explore the relationship between national constitutions and the EU, in an interactive setting.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided at the event.

This event is supported by the NYU Jean Monnet Center for International and Regional Economic Law & Justice.
