Earth Rights Collaborative
Announcing. . . The Earth Rights Collaborative
A space for students to find community, delve into topics related to earth (including human) rights, and connect with practitioners working at the frontier of the fight against ecological existential threats and their various rights implications.
Our first gathering will be a dinner held on Thursday, February 16th in the Wilf Hall, 5th Floor Conference Room at 6pm.
Please watch the movie THE EAST (2013) in advance of the dinner, which we’ll use as a starting point to examine the grounding question: How can we as lawyers be of service to the movements taking on existential ecological threats like the climate emergency?
Recommended, optional readings include: (i) Ministry for the Future by Kim Stanley Robinson (ii) Beyond Fossil Law: Climate, Courts, and the Fight for a Sustainable Future by Ted Hamilton
