Deadline to Apply - 2025 Business Pitch Competition

The Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital program is excited to announce our 2025 Business Pitch Competition. Any current student or recent NYU Law graduate (Classes of 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024) with an interest in entrepreneurship is invited to participate—regardless of their experience level.
We are looking for participants to submit a pitch deck or one to two-minute video presentation explaining their business idea. Business ideas should aim to develop innovative solutions.

Your video submission should explain the problem you are solving, what your solution is and how that solution works. You do not need to be working on a startup to enter the competition. We’ve created a pitch deck template to help applicants think through their submission (you must be logged in to your @nyu.edu e-mail to view.)
The deadline to submit is Friday, January 31st at 11:59 p.m. EST. Participants must either be a current NYU Law student or recent NYU Law alumni. Both individual and team submissions are allowed.
Finalists will be invited to pitch at an in-person event to a panel of judges on February 12th, and the winner will be awarded a $1,500 cash prize.
The following criteria will be used to judge the video submissions and live pitches:
- Submission (clarity of pitch; coherent and organized)
- Concept (relevant concept; creative and unique idea)
- Scalability (practicality; growth potential)
$1,500 in cash will be awarded to the winner.
