DALSA GBM: November Open Board Meeting
245 Sullivan Street NY ,10012 (view map)
This event is not open to the public.
Join the Disability Allied Law Students Association (DALSA) for our November General Body Meeting. This month's board meeting will be our last for the semester, and will be structured as an open board meeting and forum for our members! With finals soon approaching, we plan to hold space for anyone who might have questions about testing accommodations (to discuss in the meeting or more privately afterwards). We'll also seek input from any members on event ideas for the upcoming semester as we begin to put those plans into motion. As always, the meeting will be an open forum: we're interested in hearing any and all ideas, concerns, and suggestions that members would like to raise!
We welcome new and returning members of our commuinty, and will provide lunch for those attending in person (and reimbursements for folks attending via zoom). Cuisine tbd! The meeting should last about an 45 minutes to an hour.
Background: DALSA is NYU Law's affinity group for people with disabilities and their allies. Our focus is on all disabilities including physical disabilities, mental health, sensory impairments, learning disabilities, communication disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and other impairments that substantially limit major life activities. We aim to provide space and community for folks with disabilities, to aid students with disabilities in securing accommodations and other needed support, and to advance change to help students with disabilities truly thrive at NYU Law.
