Contextualizing Crisis: Centering Human Rights and Civil Society in Haiti
In recent weeks, news and social media have highlighted the current political and human rights crisis in Haiti. However, many of the challenges currently facing Haitians have been ones advocates have been sounding the alarm about for years. A panel of Haitian advocates and activists will discuss the current human rights challenges, the roots of this crisis and the advocacy they have been engaged in for years. The panelists will also discuss what they see as the path forward and the role of civil society as well as foreign actors.
