The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued a proposed rule on January 5, 2023 that would prohibit employers from using non-compete clauses with workers. The rule would require employers to rescind existing noncompetes and actively inform workers that they are no longer in effect. We will host Prof. Hiba Hafiz who is assistant professor of law at Boston College Law School as well as an expert advisor to the FTC to discuss the implication of this rule for employees and independent contractors.

Lunch will be provided.

Organized by Antitrust & Competition Law Society & Law Students for Economic Justice & National Lawyers Guild.
