Asia Law Society (ALS) aims to foster a forum where both JD and LLM students with interest in legal practice, culture, language of East Asia can come together to discuss ideas, share information, and build relationships. To that end, ALS hosts language hours featuring the three languages of East Asia (namely, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean). This particular event will feature Korean language hour during which students converse in Korean to foster their familiarity with the language and promote the culture so that the students can gain a better understanding of Korea and how it might relate to legal practice involving Korea. Speakers of varying degrees of fluency are welcome at the event who will have a chance to build future working relationships, discuss the latest developments in Korean legal landscape, and share their passion for the Korean language and culture.
